Forever (probably) my favorite color palette is blush pink/mauves/grays/taupes/ivory in any combination. And if you love it too, here’s an idea for you. Instead of having to buy an entirely new bed, take your metal headboard off and spray paint it gold. And if you didn’t know (now you do bc I’m spilling the beans) you can buy ONLY the headboard in some cases and not the bed frame if you have one already. This is such a good way to refresh a room without having to replace an entire bed.
SHOP THIS ROOM
This board shows a variation on my youngest daughter’s room, which, if I’m being honest, is my favorite room in our house. Last weekend we transitioned her dollhouse from holding mix matched Barbies to being a true bookcase. I moved her big reading chair to the other side of the wall art.
(This tweet made me giggle.)
I actually love moving around toys just as much as furniture. Call me crazy, but I think it’s fun to set out different toys and see if the kids start playing with them again.
Indescribable by Louie Giglio, Loves Does for kids by Bob Goff, and Jesus Calling by Sarah Young are the devotionals we rotate for the kids these days. We read a short devotional from one of these books (nearly) each morning and read the Bible with them at night. When the world seems a bit uncertain, I want home to be their safe place. Sweet moments like cozying up to read are the moments I want to celebrate.
Not into pink? I get it, some girls just aren’t.
My sweet friend was looking for a purple and blues room for her girl, so I came up with this board.
